Dear Thriving Mamas,
This week, patience is staring me in the facing, taunting me, challenging me at every step of the way. I consulted with a dog behavior specialist, who’s take home message is that my anxious dog is a very emotional breed and that she takes her cue from me. Translation: my anxiety or impatience is affecting her negatively. Imagine how my kids must feel. Well, at least my kids have the benefit of spoken explanations to better make sense of my reactions. But seriously, this is a useful reminder. I am re-committed to breathing more, feeling less tense, and practicing patience in the moment.
I invite you all to do the same!
